Workshops for Professionals and Advanced Training

Ohio State University Extension within the School of Environment & Natural Resources strives to meet the continuing educational needs of our natural resource professionals. In order to do this a variety of workshops and seminars are organized throughout the year.  For professional development these sessions will offer continuing education credits where appropriate.  Check back frequently for up to date event details.

    Join us for the 2024 Ohio Woodland Water and Wildlife Conference Wednesday March 6th is our annual Ohio Woodland Water and Wildlife Conference offering a wide variety of topics for our natural resource professionals.  The conference is located at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center in Mansfield, OH.  This annual conference is geared toward natural resource professionals and will offer continuing education credits for ISA, SAF and pesticide where applicable.
  2. Jul 31, 2024, 8:00am - 11:00pm

    The Ohio Woodland Health Practices for Service Providers online course provides an introductory training to managing small woodlands, assisting woodland property owners to meet their individual goals and improving woodland and ecosystem health.  This course is for green industry professionals - such as arborists and landscape architects - working on private properties of <10 acres. The training will focus on the why and how of addressing common woodland health issues.
