From Past the Future: Managing Invasive Species & Guiding Ecological Restoration

Join us at the Ohio State University's Pomerene Forest Laboratory for a workshop exploring invasive species management and ecological restoration. Learn how past land use, jumping worms, and invasive plants influence our restoration goals for the present. Morning sessions will take place in the Three Rivers Fire District Community Room, covering restoration basics, worm ID and ecology, site history, and red oak seed sourcing.
After lunch, we will travel to the Pomerene, where participants will rotate through hands-on field stations including a live worm monitoring demo and visits to riparian restoration sites and a red oak seed plantation. Some trails will be uneven; please dress accordingly.
