Lunch & Learn: Wet Meadow Enhancement from Edge to Sedge

Open habitats vegetated by grasses and flowering plants are important features of the natural landscape. A small group of Ohio Woodland Stewards team members is working to restore a wet meadow at the OSU Mansfield Campus. Join us as we share plans to enhance the habitat from the edge of the forest to the middle of the meadow. Topics discussed will include wildlife-friendly plants to incorporate into an edge planting, how to protect them from deer, and how to deal with goldenrod when it takes over an area.

This class will be outdoors, beginning at the Maple Pavilion with a box lunch, then ending in the field.
