Forest Food For Wildlife: Enhancing Mast Production

Mast? What is that word?  What good is it to wildlife?  Mast is essentially the nuts, berries, and seeds of trees that serve as a very important food source to many species of forest wildlife.

Join us Friday November 2nd for this day-long workshop focused on the identification and enhancement of the mast producing trees in your woodlot.  During our discussion of a variety of mast producing species and their different nutritionals values, we will focus on management strategies that will improve mast production and attract wildlife to your property.
