Capturing the Art in Nature

Join us as we partner with the Ohio State University at Mansfield’s Department of Art to offer an exciting class combining art and nature! In the morning, Professor Kate Shannon will teach participants about the historic cyanotype photographic process and how to create their own impressions of nature (front picture).

After lunch, participants will learn about the basic elements of photography, including exposure, composition, and the art of seeing from Sayeed Mehmood, from the School of Environment and Natural Resources. The class will conclude outdoors for a hands-on nature photography session. Participants should bring their own cameras, preferably one with manually adjustable camera settings.
