Thousand Canker Disease (TCD) - Another issue facing Ohio's forests and trees

In the summer of 2012 multiple walnut twig beetles were found in traps located in Butler County, Ohio.  Join us for the day to learn from the experts what this means to the walnut trees of Ohio, what TCD is, how to collect and submit samples for testing and what regulations are in place to help fight this new potential infestation.

Dr. Mark Windham from the University of Tennessee will also be present to share with us the Tennessee TCD experience.

While the morning session is inside, the afternoon session will be in the field at a site adjacent to where the twig beetles were found last summer.  Experts from Ohio and Indiana will demonstrate what to look for, what makes a good sample to submit and explain the traps that are being used to monitor for this disease.

Registration is $20 and includes lunch and materials.

ISA and SAF credits will be offered where appropriate.
