Woodland Improvement Vendor Training
This workshop is designed for individuals with a background in natural resources who are interested in learning more about invasive woody plants and the techniques used to control them. the coursework includes classroom and field sessions on identification, ecology and control of woody invasives plants like tree of heaven, bush honeysuckle and multi-flora rose. Other common timber stand improvement (TSI) techniques will also be covered. A portion of the course will focus on preparation for the Ohio Department of Agriculture - Commercial Pesticide Applicator License. On-site testing will be provided. November 16-19, 2009 Course Fee: Registration Closed Course materials, food (breakfast and lunch daily), lodging and ODA Pesticide licensing and testing fees are included in the registration fee. This workshop is supported by funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. |
