Exploring Your Forest

Think of Exploring Your Forest as a 1-day introduction to Ohio forests. If you are a new woodland owner, or an owner that just doesn’t know where to start, this class is for you. The class starts with the history of Ohio’s forests so that we can understand how Ohio forests got to where they are today. From there the class tries to help you understand what options you have for taking care of your forest. There are always trade offs—whether you intensively manage a woods for a product or whether you just leave it grow. This can be the first step in your woodland owners education program!

* Please note: While a minimum of 20 participants per class is required, class size is limited to 50 people per class. Be sure to sign up early to get your spot! Registration deadline is May 4, 2007.
